A little guidance goes a long way

Not sure where to start?

You do not need to know dance grades or choose everything now. Tell us your child’s age, interests and any previous experience, and we will help with the next step.

New to AIM or moving up from Preschool? We can help.

Ask us about a suitable class ↓

Age is a starting point. Some classes span a wider age range. Our team will help you find a suitable group based on your child’s age, experience and readiness.

A warm welcome, at their pace

A new class can feel like a big step.

Your child might be ready to join in straight away, or they might need time to watch and feel comfortable. Tell us about any worries before their first visit so we can discuss the support they need.

Our teachers help new children become familiar with the group and class routine. AIM’s buddy approach gives children a friendly face while they settle in.

Children are encouraged to attend independently, with temporary parental support discussed where needed.

A little reassurance

Your Minis questions, answered

Can my child join without dance experience?

Enquiries from beginners are welcome. Tell us your child’s age and any previous experience so our team can recommend an appropriate class and level.

Which class is right for my four-, five- or six-year-old?

Start with the age ranges in the timetable and what your child enjoys. The team can help you compare styles and decide which class to trial. Some graded classes cover older children too, so age alone does not determine placement.

Can I stay while my child settles in?

Children are encouraged to attend independently. If your child needs you nearby at first, speak to us about a temporary settling-in arrangement so we can support them appropriately.

Do we need uniform for the trial?

No uniform purchase is needed for the trial. Choose comfortable clothing, tie long hair back and ask the admin team to confirm suitable footwear for your chosen class.

Is the £20 trial fee per lesson?

No. £20 covers the two-week trial in one chosen class. A two-week trial in two different classes costs £40 in total.

Is £26.50 the cost of one lesson?

No. It is the monthly tuition payment for one weekly 60-minute class during AIM’s 39 teaching weeks. The annual cost is spread across 12 equal payments, with trial and enrolment fees paid separately.

Where do Minis classes take place?

Classes take place at AIM Studios, Intex House, Cooting Road, Aylesham, CT3 3EP, near Canterbury in Kent.

What is the next stage after Minis?
