Returns and exchanges for AIM dance uniform

We want parents to feel confident when ordering dance uniform through Artists In Motion. This page explains how returns, exchanges and refunds work for unworn dancewear, shoes and accessories.

Our 14 day returns policy

Parents and customers have a minimum of 14 days from receiving their order to request a return for eligible dance uniform items. Items must be returned unused, unworn, clean, in their original packaging where possible, and with any labels or tags still attached.

Please check sizes carefully before removing labels or allowing your child to wear the item to class.

Items that can usually be returned

We can usually accept returns or exchanges for standard dance uniform items where the item is still in a resaleable condition.

  • Leotards that have not been worn or washed
  • Dance skirts, shorts, leggings or tops that are unused
  • Tap, ballet, jazz or other dance shoes that have only been tried on indoors
  • Hair accessories or uniform accessories that remain unused and unopened
  • Standard AIM uniform items that have not been personalised

Items we cannot usually accept back

Some items cannot be returned unless they are faulty. This is mainly for hygiene reasons, personalisation reasons, or because the item can no longer be resold.

  • Items that have been worn to class, rehearsals, exams, shows or performances
  • Items that have been washed, marked, damaged or altered
  • Personalised or customised items, including named clothing
  • Made to order items or special order products
  • Tights, socks or undergarments where packaging has been opened
  • Hair accessories that have been opened or used

Dance shoes and fitting

Dance shoes may be tried on indoors on a clean surface to check the fit. They must not be worn outside, marked, scuffed, or used in class if you wish to return them.

If shoes show signs of wear, we may be unable to accept the return unless the item is faulty.

Faulty or incorrect items

If an item arrives faulty, damaged, or different from what you ordered, please contact us as soon as possible. We may ask for a photo of the issue so we can review it quickly and arrange the most suitable next step.

Where the item is confirmed as faulty or incorrect, we will offer a replacement, exchange or refund in line with your consumer rights.

How to request a return or exchange

Contact AIM

Email us at jessica@artistsinmotion.co.uk within 14 days of receiving your order.

Include your order details

Please include your name, order number if available, the item you wish to return, and whether you would prefer a refund or exchange.

Wait for return instructions

We will confirm whether the item is eligible and explain how to return it to AIM Studios.

Return the item

Once we receive and check the item, we will process the agreed refund or exchange.

Refunds

Once an eligible returned item has been received and checked, refunds will normally be made to the original payment method. Please allow a reasonable time for the refund to appear, as processing times can vary depending on your payment provider.

Return postage and delivery costs

Unless the item is faulty or incorrect, customers are responsible for the cost of returning items. Original delivery charges may not be refundable unless required by law or where AIM has made an error with the order.

Exchanges

We are happy to help with size exchanges where stock is available. If the replacement size is not available, we may offer a refund or help you choose a suitable alternative.

If you are unsure which uniform item or size your child needs, please speak to the AIM team before placing your order. We would rather help you choose the right item first than have parents worrying about returns afterwards.
