Early Years & Preschool: Laying the Foundation

For our youngest dancers (ages 18 months to 4 years), our mission is simple: to instill a lifelong love of movement.

• Parent + Tot (18m – 3yrs): These “Melody Movers” sessions are a magical introduction to dance. Using props, storytelling, and structured play, we help toddlers find their feet. It’s a wonderful way to bond with your child while they develop coordination and listening skills.
• Preschool & My First Ballet (3 – 4yrs): As independence grows, so does the movement. These classes prepare children for school by teaching them to take turns, follow instructions, and express themselves creatively, all while having fun!

Classical Ballet (ISTD Syllabus)

Ballet is the backbone of dance technique. At AIM, we follow the prestigious Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (ISTD) syllabus. From Primary grades through to Vocational levels, our classes focus on:

• Posture & Core Strength: Essential for healthy physical development.
• Artistry & Grace: Encouraging students to perform with feeling.
• Exam Opportunities: We offer accredited exams for those who wish to progress, but always in a supportive, pressure-free environment.

Acrobatic Arts & Aerial Academy

We are proud to be a certified Acrobatic Arts studio. Unlike traditional gymnastics, AcroDance is designed to be performed on a hard stage, seamlessly blending tumbling with dance choreography.

• Safety First: We follow a strict syllabus of progressions to ensure flexibility and strength are built safely before attempting tricks.
• Aerial Academy: A unique offering in East Kent! Our students learn breathtaking skills on the Aerial Hoop and Silks, building incredible upper body strength and confidence.

Street Dance, Commercial & Boys Crew

For students who want to move to the beat of the latest hits, our commercial classes are the place to be.

• Street Dance: High-energy, stylish, and current. We teach the fundamentals of hip hop culture including locking, popping, and breaking.
• Boys Crew: We are passionate about getting boys moving! Our dedicated boys-only sessions provide a space to learn powerful, athletic choreography in a supportive brotherhood.

Musical Theatre & Singing

Creating the “Triple Threat”, dancers who can act and sing! Our Musical Theatre classes combine vocal coaching, drama games, and dance routines from West End and Broadway hits. It is the ultimate confidence booster, helping students find their voice both on and off the stage.

Tap and Modern Theatre

• Tap: Making music with your feet! Tap develops impeccable rhythm, timing, and musicality.
• Modern Theatre: A dynamic, rhythmic style that defies gravity. It builds flexibility and strength, incorporating jazz and lyrical qualities.
