What happens at Saturday theatre school?
Three hours to explore performing arts, practise new skills and create something together. Our Saturday theatre school combines vocal coaching, dance and drama, helping children bring each part of a performance to life.
- 01Get ready to create
Warm-ups and group activities help students focus, participate and prepare for the session.
- 02Explore voice, movement and character
Build skills through singing, dance combinations and drama activities, with opportunities to try and practise.
- 03Bring it together
Use those skills in rehearsal, listen to others and discover the satisfaction of contributing to a group performance.
A story to tell.
A moment to share.
Rehearsal gives every song, scene and dance time to grow. Performing gives students the chance to share that work with an audience and experience being part of a production.
Productions are a central part of AIM Theatre School. Students develop their singing, dancing and acting through rehearsing together and working towards performances throughout the year. Our next production is Disney’s High School Musical JR., with a workshop on 12 September, auditions on 19 & 26 September and the show on 7 February. Contact the admin team about taking part.

Building confidence and creativity through performing arts.
Speaking up in a group, remembering a sequence or trying a new character can each be a small achievement. Theatre school gives children regular opportunities to practise, contribute and recognise their own progress.

Not quite ready for a production?
Musical Theatre classes can be a supportive first step. Children explore singing, dancing and acting, build confidence and learn to express themselves as part of a group, laying the foundations for Theatre School and production work.
When your child feels ready to take that next step, the AIM team can help you explore joining Theatre School and working towards a production together.
“My child has never done this before.”
They do not need previous singing, dancing or acting experience. The two-week trial gives them time to meet the team and experience the sessions.
“They will not know anyone.”
Joining a group can feel like a big step. Let the admin team know if your child feels nervous, so the teaching team can help them settle in.
“They love performing at home.”
AIM gives that enthusiasm a regular place to grow, with shared activities, new challenges and other young people to create with.
