A warm welcome from the start
Every child arrives with a different level of experience and confidence. That is completely normal.
Your child’s first visit
What can your child expect?
Trial classes give children time to experience the environment, meet the teaching team and take part without being expected to know everything already.
- A friendly welcome from the AIM reception and teaching team
- Structured, age-appropriate teaching in a supportive environment
- Clear guidance for children joining as complete beginners
- Encouragement to take part at an appropriate and comfortable pace
- An opportunity to experience the class before discussing the next stage
Is your child nervous or shy? Tell the admin team before the first class. This helps the teacher understand what your child may need and provide a gentler introduction.

When will the admin team contact me?
The team will contact you after reviewing the information you submitted. Please keep an eye on your email and telephone, including your junk folder. If you need to add something in the meantime, email admin@artistsinmotion.co.uk.
Does my child need previous dance experience?
No. Children can join AIM as complete beginners. Classes are recommended according to age, stage and the information provided during registration.
What should my child wear?
The correct clothing and footwear can differ between dance styles. The admin team will explain what is needed when confirming the class. You do not need to buy uniform before the team advises you.

Viewing arrangements can vary by class and age group. The admin team will explain the arrangements for your child’s trial when the place is confirmed.
What if my child feels nervous?
