Boys Crew Dance Classes Near Canterbury

A crew to move with. Space to be themselves.

High-energy Saturday dance classes where boys can develop rhythm, learn choreography, express their personality and become part of a supportive crew at AIM Studios in Aylesham.

What is AIM Boys Crew?

More than learning moves. It is becoming part of a crew.

AIM Boys Crew is a dedicated dance class for boys aged five and over who love music, movement and trying something different.

Sessions combine energetic choreography, rhythm, freestyle and team-based learning. Boys develop movement skills as a group while still being encouraged to bring their own personality and ideas into the room.

No previous dance experience is needed. Children can join as beginners and build confidence at their own pace in a structured, friendly environment.

Inside a session

What happens in a Boys Crew class?

Each 45-minute session balances energetic movement with structured teaching, creativity and time to work together.

1

Warm up and move

The class starts by getting bodies moving, raising energy and preparing safely for the session.

2

Find the rhythm

Boys explore timing, musicality and how different movements connect with the beat.

3

Learn choreography

New sequences are broken into manageable sections before being developed into a routine.

4

Add personality

Freestyle and creative tasks encourage individual expression rather than simply copying steps.

5

Perform as a crew

The boys bring everything together, support one another and finish with a shared sense of progress.

Skills that travel beyond the studio

What Boys Crew helps children develop

The emphasis is on steady progress, positive effort and enjoying movement, not expecting children to arrive with polished performance skills.

Coordination and control

Learning sequences helps children connect rhythm, balance and whole-body movement with greater awareness.

Confidence to perform

Small achievements, creative choices and dancing with others help boys become more comfortable being seen.

Teamwork and belonging

Working towards shared routines gives boys a natural way to communicate, cooperate and become part of the group.

Rhythm and creativity

Music-led activities encourage boys to listen, respond and discover their own way of expressing an idea through movement.

Who will enjoy it?

There is no single type of Boys Crew dancer.

Some children arrive full of confidence. Others need time to settle in. The two-week trial gives each child space to experience the class properly before a family decides whether to continue.

The complete beginnerA boy who is curious about dance but has never attended a formal class.

The constant moverA child who is always responding to music, making up moves or performing at home.

The quieter childA boy who may feel more comfortable discovering dance alongside a dedicated group of peers.

The developing performerAn existing dancer who wants more choreography, freestyle and crew-based performance experience.

A proper chance to settle in

Try Boys Crew for two weeks

One lesson is not always enough for a child to feel comfortable in a new studio. The two-week trial allows time to meet the group, understand the class and experience the teaching before committing.
