Two pathways, one passion

The Company vs Performance Company: Which AIM Pathway Is Right for Your Child?

At Artists In Motion School of Dance, every child’s journey looks different. Some dancers want structured technical training, competitions and personal progression. Others want the joy of performing, building confidence and exploring creative styles without the same weekly commitment. That is why AIM offers two exciting pathways, The Company and Performance Company.

Quick answer: The Company is AIM’s flagship training pathway for dedicated dancers who want technical progression across ballet, tap and modern, alongside competitions and performances. Performance Company is AIM’s flexible performance pathway for students who love the stage, want creative opportunities and do not need weekly private lessons or technical prerequisites.

Two pathways, one shared goal

Both pathways help students grow in confidence, develop their talent and enjoy the thrill of performing. The difference is the level of technical training, weekly commitment and the type of performance focus.

The Company

Our flagship training and dance pathway.

Designed for committed dancers who want comprehensive technical training and opportunities to represent AIM at competitions, shows and performances.

Performance Company

Our flexible performance pathway.

Designed for students who love performing and want exciting stage opportunities without the same level of intensive technical training.

What is The Company?

The Company is AIM’s dedicated training pathway for dancers who are ready to commit to a more structured programme. It is ideal for students who enjoy being challenged, want to build strong technique and are excited by competitions, performances and team opportunities.

This pathway gives dancers a strong technical foundation, regular progression and the chance to represent Artists In Motion School of Dance with pride.

Ballet, tap and modern training

Students train across ballet, tap and modern, building strong technical foundations across essential disciplines. This supports versatility, musicality, movement quality and confidence.

Additional class requirements

Depending on age, students take part in different additional classes each week. These help develop performance skills, versatility and confidence across a wider range of dance styles.

Weekly private lesson

A weekly private lesson gives students personalised coaching and focused support. This helps dancers work on technique, performance quality, corrections and individual goals.

Competitions and performances

Students have opportunities to take part in competitions, perform in showcases and represent AIM as part of our performance teams.

Train. Perform. Excel.

What is Performance Company?

Performance Company is AIM’s flexible pathway for students who love to perform, enjoy variety and want to build confidence on stage.

This pathway is ideal for children who want exciting performance opportunities, but do not want the full technical commitment of The Company. It gives students the chance to explore creativity, expression, character work, music and movement in a supportive environment.
